Photoshop Editing

E-Commerce Editing

When on a photoshoot, there can be instances where the product, model, background, or anything in the resulting photo would need to be altered. In 1 example the child was playing with an earlier sample of the toy. In the edit I shot the updated toy at an angle that matched how the child previously held it. For this, I received the toy to shoot, removed the background and matched the lighting and shadows for the finished image to look like it was shot like that in the first place. The other example is of an edit that is more than the typical ‘remove background’. For this ‘call-out’ shots were requested to make the listing photo have more impact. This is a big toy with a lot of features which needed to be highlighted. In my experience I have edited photos for listings that have appeared in Very, Selfridges, JD Williams, Argos and more.

In both instances I was not responsible for removing the background.

Cosplay Photoshop edits

This finished products are also in the ‘Cosplay’ section of my portfolio, but for people who are not in cosplaying I still wanted to show the hours of work I put into each of these photos. Every piece included discussion with the client, researching are particular character and embedding certain aspects of the character’s original media (tv programme, game etc) blended in with the photo. These photos were so much fun to both shoot and edit and I still look back at these photos today feeling proud.
